In July of 2014, The Traverse City Beach Bums baseball team hosted a fantastic evening at Wuerfel Park, called the Carter’s Kids night at Wuerful Park. It was a very special evening at the ballpark, especially since the Beach Bums were wearing special designed Carter’s Kids baseball jerseys for the game. Carter and Amy both threw out the first pitch before the game and were able to sign autographs and take pictures throughout the game. We so appreciate the Wuerful family and their hospitality!

At a very special event at the end of July, The Traverse City Beach Bums, which is a Frontier League baseball team, hosted the very first “Carter’s Kids” night!

For the first time in their history, the Beach Bums created jerseys for their players to wear, that did not have Beach Bums on the front, the jerseys said “Carter’s Kids” on the front and judging by the reaction of people wanting to buy the Jerseys, it was a very popular choice!

Carter Oosterhouse and Amy Smart both threw out the first pitch, took a turn at announcing from the play by play booth, signed autographs and took pictures for the fans at the Stadium.

Carter’s Kids really appreciates the hospitality shown by the Traverse City Beach Bums and we invite everyone who visits Northern Michigan, to attend some Beach Bums games, you will have a blast!
